Not a bad way to end the year.  Did an easy 3.3 miles this morning.  The lady at the gym reminded me that tomorrow will be busy at the Y.  When I asked why, she reminded me, "tomorrow is Jan. 1st."  So all the gyms will be busy for the next few weeks.  Here's hoping you have a healthy new year.

Ate well, slept well, and had a great New Year's Eve.  Ready for 2013!

300 days.  That's the goal, to be in shape and ready for a race on Oct. 27th in Austin.  Today was an easy walk on the dreadmill.  Did 3.2. miles at 2.5 degrees.  The Y was busy today, think a lot of folks are just tired of running in the cold. 

At some point it will be time to get back in the pool.  Still have a very long way to go.  2013 is going to be a year of change in many ways for me.

A bit blurry, but the picture shows the treadmill after an hour today.  Doing a little more running, but still mostly a brisk walk.

Still about 300 days away from the Austin 70.3 Ironman race.  I have a very long way to go.  Looking forward to some longer runs and getting back on the bike.

Had a nice long walk on the treadmill yesterday and again today.  Today my goal was 4 miles. 
Then did a little lifting for about 20 minutes.  Slowly getting stronger.  Worked on the bike some and got some new water bottle cages for it.  Ready for some warmer temps so I can begin riding again.  Still too far out of shape to do any serious swimming.  But looking forward to swimming more in the weeks/months ahead.

Hit the treadmill at 8:30am.  Felt good.  Getting closer to 4 miles in an hour.  Doing a little more running now but still mostly walking.

Did about 15 minutes of spinning afterwards to cool down.

Went on a morning walk with my wife and our little fat dog.  Sunrise was beautiful but it was windy and cold. Then tonight, after work I lifted weights for 30 minutes.  Hope to run tomorrow.








Gusts over 45 mph overnight and early this morning.  The afternoon temperatures were 30° to 40° colder.

Hit the treadmill at 9am on Dec 19th and knocked out 3.5 miles.  Doing mostly walking with 2 minute runs every 10 minutes or so.  Feel like I am getting stronger every day.                                                                        

Tonight temperatures are falling rapidly behind a powerful cold front.  It help fire up severe weather in SE Oklahoma and kick up very high winds tonight. Tulsa hit 70° this afternoon.  Expecting much colder air tomorrow.
